Patient Reports:
Patient Reports are found within an appointment, you can assess all from within the Patient Reports button (popup window) or you can access most of them individually on their related tabs within the appointment. You can generate any number of patient reports all at the same time, and you have additional options to merge into one file and either print, email, fax or save.
How it works:
- Check the boxes beside the reports you wish to generate > then hit the generate button. You will see a little spinner appear in the bottom right corner to tell you it is working. Once it's done your report names will turn into a link and the time stamp for 'Last Generated' will appear (or get updated).
- Then you want to hit either Print, Email, Fax or Save.
..... If you hit Print: It merges all the reports into one PDF and opens it up so they can be sent to the printer all at once.
..... If you hit Email: It pops open a window where it displays the patient's email for verification (or you can change it if you wish to send to someone else) > then hit 'send'. The recipient will receive an email with all of the selected reports attached.
..... If you hit Fax: It pops open a window where it displays the default fax cover page copy. You can edit the fax cover page copy as you wish and then hit print. It will then generate a complete fax cover page which includes your header, today's date, Attn: patients doctor name & fax number and your footer. It merges the cover page and all selected reports into one PDF that can now be printed and faxed to your patient's doctor.
..... If you hit Save: It merges all the reports into one PDF and opens it up so they can be saved to your computer as one file.
Note:
- After you generate a report and its name becomes a link, you can click on the link to open up the report at any time.
- There is an email template called 'Reports' where the email copy can be edited. Go to the Setup Menu > Email Templates.
- The fax cover page defaults can be edited in the service line setup. Go to the Setup Menu > Service Line Setup > Choose Service Line > Go To Reports Tab > Near the bottom, beside 'Fax Cover Page', click 'Edit Defaults'.
- The patient's doctor info is present on the action plan tab within a health clinic appointment. This enables you to easily look up and edit the information if needed before generating the fax cover page to send to the patient's doctor.
- The last generated time stamp of each report, when hovered over with the mouse, will tell you the last time the report was printed/emailed/faxed or saved.
- You can regenerate the reports at any time (previously generated reports can be found on the history tab). This will not happen automatically based on a change in the appointment.
