Generating the Prescription
HQ3 provides the ability to generate a dynamic prescription based on your prescribing authority, drug preferences & medical directive status.
How it works:
- The prescription can be generated from any appointment, from either the prescription tab, or the patient reports button.
- Make sure the check box is checked beside 'Prescription' and hit the generate button.
- Once it is generated it will be saved into the system and accessible anytime.
Included in the report:
- Patient ID: Name, DOB & PHN & Contact Details
- RX: Each drug is listed below the RX symbol in its own box containing all prescribing details (Drug Name / Dose / Mitte if included / Instructions if included / Medical Directive information if applicable.)
- Signature Line: The signature line is presented at the bottom of the prescription according to the prescribing authority of who ever has generated the prescription.
~ If the user has their own prescribing authority their name & license number will appear.
~ If the user is prescribing under the authority of a medical directive there name will appear without a license number.
~ If the user has no prescribing authority, the link will appear blank.
NOTE:
- The prescription will split into separate pages if the prescribing authority is different for some drugs. IE: You have your own prescribing authority for one drug, using a medical directive for another, and have no way to prescribe another.
- If there is no prescribing authority a blank line will appear for signature so someone who does have prescribing authority can sign for that drug.
