Details Tab > Notes and Flagging

Details Tab > Notes and Flagging

Notes:
At the bottom of both the patient record and their appointment screens, you will see a 'Notes' section. This will hold all notes relating to the patient. All notes are date, time, type and author stamped.

How it Works:
- You can add notes by using the 'Add' button.
- You can hide notes by using the 'Hide' button and re-show them by using the 'Show' button.
- You can flag a note, which flags the patient throughout the site until the note in 'unflagged'.
- All notes relating to a patient will be available in the notes section from anywhere you access this patient (all appointments and patient record).
- You cannot edit a note once it is saved.

Note Types:
There are different note types which refer to where the note was added from.
- Patient Note: If you add a note from the patient record screen it will have the 'Patient' label.
- Appointment Note: If you add a note from an appointment detail tab it will have the 'Appointment' label, and ability to link to the appointment the note was added from.
- Observation Note: If you record an observation note after injection it will have the 'Observation' label, and ability to link to the appointment the note was added from.
- Opinion Request: If you send an opinion request (if you are using the opinion request feature when connected with a Medical Advisor) it will have the 'Opinion Request' label, and ability to link to the appointment the note was added from.
- Monitoring Note: If you add a note while dismissing a monitoring alert it will have the 'Monitoring' label, and ability to link to the appointment the note was added from.

Search Options:
On the right side of the Notes section, there is a link 'Show Search Options'. If you click on this you will be presented with the search/filter options. You can filter by date, type, flag state (explained below), status and also do a text search.

Flagging:
Patients can be flagged in either blue or red.

- Flagging Notes/Patients:
When you add a note, you will notice at the bottom of the popup window three options: No Flag, Blue Flag & Red Flag. Applying a coloured flag to a note will also flag the patient with that colour (their name will appear in either red or blue or they will have a blue or red indicator beside their name). This is useful when booking patients for future appointments and acts like a reminder to you of previous issues.
- You can flag notes after they have been created by using the 'Flag' button found on the right side of the note.
- If the patient has both red and blue flags, the red takes precedence.
- Unflagging Notes/Patients: Use the 'Unflag' button found on the right side of the note.
