Setup Tab > Public Booking Site Age Restrictions

Public Booking Site Age Restrictions:
Some service line's may have age restrictions. For example, Pharmacies can only administer the flu vaccine to patients over the age of 5. There is a setting in the service line setup to trigger an alert if the patient falls outside the age restrictions.

How it works:
- Under the Setup menu > Service Line Setup > within any Service Line> on the setup tab.
There is a block at the bottom of this tab to enter 'Public Booking Site Age Restrictions'. This defaults in as 'From Age: 0, To Age: 1000.' If there is an age restriction, you can edit that to read 'From Age: 5, To Age: 1000.' for example. You need to enter an alert message in the box below to appear to the patient on the public site if they are outside this range.
- When the patient is booking on the public site, after they submit their patient info (which includes their birthday) the site calculates their age, and if they fall outside the age restrictions, they will receive the alert message you entered in the service line setup. This will not actually prevent the patient from booking the appt, it just ensures that they are aware of the age restriction. They will need to decide to go back and edit, cancel or continue.

NOTE: If you would like to prevent the appointment from being booked please see article 'Questionnaires'.
At the bottom of this article you can learn about a setting within the online booking questionnaires advanced settings to do so.
