How to Configure Service Line Follow-up Appointments

How to Configure Service Line Follow-up Appointments:
This is done in the Setup menu > Service Line Setup > Select the service line > Go to the 'Follow-up' tab.
There are 2 different options:

1. Follow-up Schedule:
This allows you to configure a schedule of follow-up appointments required for a specific service line.
- At the top on the right beside 'Service Line Follow-up', select: Follow-up Schedule.
- The Follow-up Schedule section will appear below. If the appointments have already been configured they will appear here. If you are setting up the schedule for the first time a 'click here' to add link will be present.
- Hit the 'Add' button or 'Click here', set the parameters and hit save to add the first follow-up appt.
- Continue to add in the same fashion until the full schedule has been created.

NOTE: If you decide you need to add additional follow-up appts to your follow-up schedule in the service line setup after you get started, your current appointments already part of a sequence (eg: 1 of 6) should pick this up. So if you start with 6 appointments in the sequence and realize you actually need 7 or 8, you can add them later.

2. All Appointments After the First:
This means that the first time a patient books an appointment for this service line it will be a regular appointment, and all preceding appointments will be designated as follow-ups.
- At the top on the right beside 'Service Line Follow-up', select: All Appointments After First.

Switching between the 2 follow-up options:
- If you have setup a 'Follow-up Schedule', and switch your selection to 'All appointments after the first':
~ All past appointments that are part of this sequence will lose their sequence # (eg: 1 of 6) and will be marked as a 'follow-up'.
~ When you book your first follow-up for a patient that was previously part of a sequence, it won't pick-up the online booking questionnaire from the previous appt (if the preference says it should). But if it gets out in that appointment, it will get carried over to all future follow-up appts.
~ If you switch back to the 'Follow-up Schedule', the sequence # should re-appear in all of the past appointments, and your schedule will reappear on the setup screen. For the new follow-up appt you booked when the schedule was turned off, the sequence # will not appear as it is not considered part of the previous sequence.
