Drug Database > How to Configure a Drug Schedule
How to Configure a Drug Schedule:
This is done in the Setup menu > Drug Database > Select the drug > Go to the 'Dosages' tab.
Follow-up Shots:
- Under the dose details you will find the follow-up shot section. If the dose is already configured with follow-up shots they will appear here. If you are setting up the schedule for the first time a 'click here' to add link will be present.
- Hit the 'Add' button or 'Click here', set the parameters and hit save to add the first follow-up shot.
- Continue to add in the same fashion until the full schedule has been created.
Redirecting a Follow-up Shot:
If a follow-up shot is redirected to a different drug, it will add the re-directed drug to the follow-up appt. (IE: This can be used for Vivaxim, which requires a follow-up shot for Hep A.)
- Once a follow-up shot schedule has been created, a 'Redirect Follow-up Drug' link will appear.
- Click the link to select a different drug & dose.
NOTE:
- If relying on the follow-up appt required list, when you dispense the first drug/dose in a sequence, it will create a follow-up required item for the next follow-up in the series, and all other follow-ups that are redirects.
- If there are two redirected follow-up shots it is assumed that they are not dependent on each other.
- Re-directed follow-up shots must be at the end of the sequence.
Booster Shots:
- On the edit dose screen you can set the parameters of a booster shot.
- Booster shots appear in the follow-up appointment required list 6 Months before they are due.
