Digital Signature

Digital Signature

Digital Signature:
This will allow you to go paperless and save the hassle of printing a consent form and having the patient sign it during the appointment.

How it works:
- There is a consent form page that will be presented to the patient while booking an appointment via the walk-in site or from the link in their confirmation email.
- The consent form page will display the consent form for that service line and request a digital signature (a field for them to type there name, and a 'submit consent' button).
- When the digital signature is submitted by the patient, it is time stamped and automatically applied to the digital consent & summary report for this patients appointment.
- If the patients digital signature was obtained, the health care providers signature will also appear digitally on this report, with a time stamp of when the report was generated.
- There are multiple preferences related to digital signatures, explained below:

Branch Preference: Accept Digital Signatures for Walk-in Appts.
- If on, the consent form page will be presented to patients who are booking an appointment in store via the walk-in site for all service lines.

Service Line Preference: Prompt for Consent and Digital Signature.

- This needs to be turned on for each service line you wish to collect a digital signature for appointments that aren't booked through the walk-in site.
 - If on, the consent form page will be presented to patient in the link from their confirmation email. (Once the patient has gone through the health profile questionnaire, online booking questionnaire (if included) & Patient Profile, the consent form page would be presented.)

Service Line Preference: Use Digital Consent & Summary Report Always.
- If on, this report will be selected by default (on the prescription tab of an appt) even if the digital signature was not obtained. The consent options and signature lines will be included to be filled out & signed after being printed. This means y
ou can plan to use the Digital Consent & Summary Report instead of the prescription & consent form even if you are not accepting a digital signature.
