Branch Preference: Rescheduling & Canceling Options
From the link in their confirmation email(s), allow patients to reschedule & cancel appointments:
You have the option to allow patients to reschedule and/or cancel their own appointments online, and a timeframe of allowance for each.
By default, from the link in their confirmation email(s), patients will be allowed to:
- Reschedule their own appointments up to the day before.
- And will not be allowed to cancel their own appt at all.
How it works:
If you wish to adjust the defaults:
- Go to Setup > Preferences > Branch Preference > Preferences tab.
- The preferences are near the bottom.
Rescheduling:
- If this is turned OFF the reschedule link will be hidden from all emails the patient will receive. (If this is turned off after the confirmation email has gone out, the patient can still click the reschedule link but will not be allowed.)
- Enter the # of days before the appointment you would like this to be allowed. (0 days = same day, 1 days = day before etc.)
Canceling:
- If this is turned ON a Cancel Appointment link will be included in all emails the patient will receive.
- Enter the # of days before the appointment you would like this to be allowed. (0 days = same day, 1 days = day before etc.)
- (If you are collecting online payments, patients will receive a refund automatically when they cancel their own appointment.)

- You will need to edit any reference to canceling or rescheduling from the public booking site manually as needed.
