Booking an Appointment Internally
ie: for walk-ins, or patient calls to book over the phone.
For a new patient, their name, email (or phone number) and DOB are the only fields that are required to create a new patient record. The option to enter additional information is available in case the patient doesn't use a computer, or is a walk-in and won't be able to fill it out on their own time.
To create an appointment follow these steps:
Starting from your Calendar View:
1. Select the date of the new appt.
2. Select the time of the new appt.
3. Select the service line. (Check on follow-up appt if applicable.)
4. Select an existing patient (using the arrows beside the patient name) or add a new one (fill out the required information and hit the SAVE NEW PATIENT button).
5. You can add another patient to create a group booking or hit Continue.
6. Additional Info: You can skip over the entire screen by clicking continue and it will be sent to the patient in the confirmation email. (NOTE: This screen only appears if there is no address entered for the selected patient(s). And if its a group booking you can enter the details once, and use a copy and paste feature to copy the details from one record to another.)
7. Online Booking Questionnaire: You can skip over the entire screen by clicking continue and it will be sent to the patient in the confirmation email.
8. Review details, add internal or email note if required, and hit BOOK NOW.
The patient will then receive an appointment confirmation email with a link to fill out their health profile questionnaire / online booking questionnaire and patient profile info.
